Connie signed as she sat on the stone bench. No one was here yet, which made the school considerably boring after she had explored every inch of it. She looked at the rose bush that was growing on the wall opposite from her. It seemed to need water. She got up and looked around. Everything seemed to need water. Extremely bad too. It looked as if a drought had been struck only in this courtyard. 'Doesn't this place get much rain?' She thought as she got the watering can from beside the well, that was in the middle of the yard and filled it with water. She then set to watering everything she could, hopping the well wouldn't run out of water.

[teal]Raven walked into the courtyard hugging her books. She wasn't sure if she had missed school, since no one was here except this blonde headed girl who was watering plants. She sat down on the cold stone bench and waited. The school was pretty big and she was glad that is wasn't her old high school. She shivered at the thought, she didn't want to go back there, ever. Hopefully he hasn't figured she had left and gone down here, that would be the worst. Stop thinking about it! She scolded herself. Her mind did seem to wander lately. Raven just sat there awkwardly, no knowing what to do.[/teal]

Connie continued watering the plants as a girl walked into the courtyard. She didn't notice until she turned around to put the watering can way. She gasped at the newcomer. She really hadn't noticed the girl walking in and sitting down where she had previously sat and few moments before. She averted her eyes though, not wanting to stare and put away the watering can. She then went slowly back to where she had been moments before and sat down on the edge of the stone bench, not knowing if the girl would mind her sitting next to her. She turned her head and said after some debate in her screwed up mind, "Hello, I didn't see you come into the courtyard. My name is Connie." She preferred on first term bases that know one would know her real name and last. It was her sort of weird, sad past that had made that a sort of habit. She shook her head slightly, trying to make the on coming thoughts not come for they were too brutal to think about, even now. She waited for the girl to reply taking in the sweet smell of freshly spilled water.

Raven was glad at least she was friendly, "Nice to meet you, my name is Raven, Raven Turpan to be exact." This was the first person she met, she didn't want to make enimies, so she just opened up. Raven's smile was a real one, one she hadn't shown for a while. What stuck out the most about Connie was her hair. It was really pretty, raven liked it. It was better than her dull colorless hair. It was an awkward slince and Raven just hd to break it, "So where are you from?"

Connie looked at the girl as she finally spoke. Her name was Raven, Raven Turpan. She nobbed and smiled as the girl smiled at her. Raven seemed to be a nice person but who knew from just a name and a smile, she thought. She felt the girl's glaze on her and heard her ask where she was from. She shrugged and answered in a very southern voice, "Georgia. The southern part of the USA, yup!" She smiled when she finished and continued in a normal voice, "Where are you from?"
